About Project:

FLAGUP is a Japanese web service that helps users in a community connect with each other.

Challenge

With so many types of communities (e.g., coworking spaces, restaurants, public services, events), users have diverse goals—some want networking, others want food, collaboration, or event participation. The platform must:
・Match users to relevant communities and people, not just display options
・Provide real-time, location-based engagement (like check-ins and maps)

Solution

Advanced Community Discovery & Filtering
・Allow users to search by location, category, popularity, or activity level
・Use tag-based filters (e.g., “tech meetup”, “quiet coworking”, “pet-friendly”) and user intent selection (“looking to network”, “need a workspace”, etc.)
・Integrate map view with heatmaps of popular or trending spots

Smart Check-In System
・Let users check in to a community with geolocation or QR codes
・Trigger in-community content, announcements, or networking prompts upon check-in
・Track check-in history for recommendations and admin insights
